Dr. John Hanley
He is the founder and former CEO of Lifespring, Inc., the preeminent personal-effectiveness training company of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Dr. Hanley was the driving force behind authoring the content of the courses, training the trainers, and marketing the courses through a 25-city network of adult-education centers. He is the author of Lifespring: Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be. He co-founded the Institute for Leadership and Potential Development (I-Leap), an affiliate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was a senior managing executive at Lifespring, Inc. where he was responsible for developing and coordinating the company’s leadership training program. Prior to his work with Leadership Training & Development Group LLC, Jim served as President of I-Leap, an affiliate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and as co-owner of three US-based educational centers. He has coached thousands of people to new levels of empowerment and performance and trained dozens of qualified trainers. Before turning his attention to transformational training, Jim was a sergeant in a California Police Department. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credential from San Jose University. He is a Certified Group Facilitator through the American Philosophical Practitioners Association and a CTT+ Certified Professional, an internationally recognized validation of the knowledge and skills required of a technical training professional. He has led over 800 training days and trained several qualified trainers. He has designed, delivered, and supervised the delivery of numerous highly effective training programs. John earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California and his Master’s Degree (in philosophy) from New York University.
